Cleaning, drying and storage

Sex doll care guide

A practical routine for TPE and silicone dolls, with clear checks for cleaning, complete drying, stain prevention, handling and storage.

The most important ruleStart with the instructions for your model. TPE and silicone formulas, makeup, inserts and electronic functions can require different care. A general schedule such as applying oil every month is not safe advice for every material.

Identify the material and sensitive parts

Check the product page or order confirmation before the first clean. Identify whether the body is TPE, full silicone or a combination such as a silicone head with a TPE body. Note removable inserts, makeup, eyelashes, nails, wigs, heating parts and connectors.

TPE body

TPE is generally soft and flexible, but formulas vary. It can be sensitive to staining, pressure, heat, solvents and incompatible oils. Use only products confirmed for the material.

Silicone body

Silicone often has a different surface and cleaning tolerance, but makeup, seams and soft areas still need gentle handling. Household cleaners should not be assumed safe.

Prepare a simple, controlled care kit

Useful items

  • Lukewarm water, never very hot water.
  • A mild, unscented cleaner approved for the material.
  • White lint-free cloths and a soft towel.
  • A rinsing tool intended for the relevant area.
  • A drying tool only when the manufacturer permits it.
  • Water-based lubricant for use.

Avoid without approval

  • Alcohol, bleach, solvents and concentrated disinfectants.
  • Abrasive sponges, hard brushes and sharp tools.
  • Hair dryers, heaters and direct sunlight.
  • Automatic use of baby oil, talc or fragranced powder.

Use a repeatable clean-and-dry routine

  1. Prepare and support the doll

Place clean towels nearby and support the doll securely. Keep water away from the head connector and electronics unless the instructions explicitly allow it.

  2. Clean gently

Use the approved cleaner with lukewarm water. Avoid hard rubbing, stretching openings or leaving a tool under tension.

  3. Rinse away residue

Cleaner left on the surface or inside an opening can cause irritation, odour or material problems. Rinse carefully without using high-pressure water.

  4. Dry completely

Pat the exterior with a lint-free towel. Give internal areas enough airflow and time to dry fully before storage. Do not use high heat.

  5. Apply finishing products only when specified

If the manufacturer recommends a particular renewal powder or oil, follow the product and interval stated for that material. Do not transfer one brand’s routine to every doll.

Prevent staining, pressure and handling damage

RiskSafer habitWhy it matters
Dark or new fabricWash clothing first, choose colourfast light layers and inspect frequently.Dye can migrate into TPE or silicone and may be difficult to remove.
Long-term pressureUse a neutral, supported storage position and keep hard edges away from soft areas.Pressure can create dents, surface marks or tears.
Extreme posingMove one joint at a time, stop when resistance increases and relax poses after use.Forced movement can strain the skeleton and surrounding material.
Heat and sunlightStore in a cool, dry, shaded place away from heaters and direct sun.Heat and UV exposure can affect colour and surface condition.
Face and hair detailsRemove the wig when practical, detangle from the ends and use a barely damp cloth on the face.Eyelashes, eyebrows and makeup are more delicate than the body surface.

Five-minute ownership check

  • The surface is clean and fully dry.
  • No cleaner remains in seams or cavities.
  • Electronics and connectors are dry.
  • The wig is removed or protected.
  • Dark clothing is not left in contact.
  • Joints are in a neutral position.
  • Soft areas are not compressed.
  • The storage area is cool, dry and private.

Common care questions

Should every TPE doll be oiled each month?

No. TPE formulas and manufacturer instructions differ. Use oil only when the instructions for the model recommend a compatible product and interval.

Can I leave the doll dressed in dark clothing?

That increases staining risk. Wash new clothing, choose colourfast light fabrics and avoid prolonged contact with tight or dark garments.

Can I use a hair dryer to speed up drying?

Avoid high heat. Pat the surface dry and use safe airflow or a model-approved drying tool for internal areas.
